1) BATCAP battery - 2000 series sealed battery replacing the factory battery.

2) AXO2 x-overs - both on the components in the rear deck splitting an actively highpassed 200w x 2 input.

2) S4 amplifiers - pushing 200w per 6.5 in each door, 100w per tweeter in the pillars and 200w x 2 on the rear deck components.

1) M2a amplifier - prototype 1600wrms @ 12V flat, 1%thd running 3) 1508 SVC 4ohm subs wired to just over 1ohm.

The box is at first just a fancy looking ported box. Effectively, in the trunk, it is a series tuned bandpass. The amp rack has a little contour to it and takes the place of the factory spare tire, it is painted and the trim plate is wrapped in suede. The pillars are wrapped and French stitched in suede. The headliner and sunroof cover are wrapped in suede. The seats and doors are wrapped in suede and red punctured vinyl.

Pete Kulicki of PWK Designs and Steve Milton from DD at Pete's house in his sound room. Steve said the setup sounded incredible. Pete pointed out that the 4" drivers and 1" tweets had zero equalization and zero crossovers. The subwoofer consisted of a single 6.5" driver in one of Pete's Chambered/Tapped Transmission Line enclosures. It went seamlessly down to 18 cycles and the Chambered Midrange Transmission Line mains had zero audible breakup. He uses a sophisticated system to play loss-less audio. You'd be pretty amazed at the depth and accuracy of these small speakers...as well as the output capability. He did these using relatively inexpensive mids and tweets. You might just be able to find a variant of Pete's efforts in a future DD product line-up.

What's up folks.......

Yep, it's time to check back in to keep folks up to date on the goings on at, around and about DD. Next week Steve will be in your area if you are in the Tucson, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Amarillo areas. If you are in any of them or know anyone in them...tell them to contact DD with their number and Steve'll get back with them for a personal demo of the DD Civic Si. If you know of a shop in any of those markets that you think should carry DD products.....call in or email scott@ddaudio.com with their contact info. DD is actively hitting those markets during all of next week as well as making a trip to Tombstone Arizona to throw something at Pete Kulicki in his own back yard. Can anyone say GRILLE TIME!!! Country ribs and Polish Acoustic Engineers...sounds dangerous. Maybe we'll leave a few good recipes with Pete and take one or two Kulicki secret ways to burn water back home with us. There are some great shops out here in the big AZ, NM and north TX....and we are going to prove just how pissed off this equipment is. Keep your eyes peeled in those areas for new DD dealers. Come 'n' Git' 'um! We've got the Coaxial 6x9's, 5x7's, 6.5's, 5.25's and 4's. The Midbass 6.5's and 5.25's are in also. Along with them we've got the Component sets in 6.5" and 5.25" sizes. These have all received stronger, lighter cones with higher temperature glue joints. The midrange is a tad warmer than the previous models....all without being obtrusive. Try out a set and see if they're what you like. At the price we've made them available at, you are not going to find another like them out there.

Redo your calendar......Booth # 10754 is where you want to be when SEMA time rolls around. The Si comes back to town and back in the booth with an Azentek CarPC source unit, interactive rear-view mirror, new lighting, more power, more balls and hands-down proof that DD is the clear choice for all the serious auto-upgrade business owners attending the show. More goodies will be on the car not only for the SEMA Show but for the rest of the show circuit around the country. Still sporting 3) 1500 series 8's in the mildly-wild plexiglas/wood hybrid enclosure....lined in "fauxuede".......and rigidly mounted to the rear deck, she is poised to put the smack-down on your eustachian tubes. Nothing could be more true!  When I first purchased my 9515D 2/2 back in 2001, I was really kicking myself for paying for a premium driver when I could have bought 2 lesser subs from another company.  When I finally installed the 9515, I had no doubts I made a great investment.  Through the years I have changed the cone size from a 15" to a 12" and have rebuilt this sub 5 times to change to my system's needs impedance wise.  The cost to have my 9500D motor built into a new driver 5 times is still less than the purchase price of other company's lesser subs, yet it performs on level the other subs can't match. I'll probably have this 9500D motor till the day I die and pass it along to my kids as a prized possesion. Thank you for making a product that doesnt sucker into marketing BS and still performs like it is brand new almost 8 years later.

I figured you guys would like to see some pics of your home audio products in custom installs.  I can get better pics if you want them.  This is my living room that I demo for customers on a regular basis.  The system consists of three DD LS241 speakers in Left, Center (on the shelf below TV), and Right channels, A pair of Niles MP6R in-wall surround speakers, and a DD PS1.  All powered by a Marantz SR4002 receiver with a Motorolla HD/DVR cable box, Playstation 3 (Blu-ray), DVD player, and my iPhone Audio/Video dock as sources.
 
I love the high gloss black finish on all of the DD products, it compliments my Samsung 1080p Plasma perfectly (I sell a lot of Samsung).  This system’s audio performance really shines in high volume multi-channel surround sound, lots of detail and sharp definition in the midrange and higher frequencies.  With my crossover at 150hz, I can take full advantage of the wide dynamic range of a Blu-ray disc, I can hear every little whisper in a low level scene, then jump out of my seat when a high volume action sequence hits.  The weakness here (as expected) is the lower midbass and low sub frequencies, I look forward to a future upgrade to a PS2 or PS3.
